Striped Knit Hat
Striped Knit Hat was designed for a close friend back home in Michigan. Over the last few years, I had sent her a few 100% wool hats I had knitted for her. I remember a sweet thank you note she sent; “I really appreciate all the hats you sent that both keep me warm and looking fabulous during the harsh winter winds that so often chill us to the bone here in Michigan”. One early spring evening while chatting on the phone she mentioned she would “Love” another knit hat that was not so “Hot” but was lighter in both weight and color. That very evening the Striped Knit Hat was born.
As long as you keep in gauge you are free to choose any yarn weight you like. A light cotton, warm wool or even an elegant cashmere blend.
I-Cord instructions included for those who think they are cute.
♥As are all my knitting patterns; this pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy.
I am happy to help. You can always contact me if you have any questions along the way.
