Striped Fingerless Gloves
Striped Fingerless Gloves were created because of a request from a friend at my LYS. She had spotted my Striped Knit Hat pattern and mentioned that she would love a pair of matching fingerless gloves to wear as a set. She liked the lighter weight and the fact that the hat was not designed using a heavy wool. Her favorite time of year is spring, so she wanted a lighter fabric to wear in the brisk weather that doesn’t require a really warm layer. I took that as a serious hint and with her wish list in mind spent that very evening designing these matching gloves.
In addition, to all this awesomeness, the pattern also provides instructions for working the thumb flat or in the round.
In conclusion, as long as you keep in gauge you are free to choose any yarn weight you like. A light cotton, warm wool or even an elegant cashmere blend.
