Seed Stitch Blocks
For me, the Seed Stitch Blocks Dishcloth Pattern is one of the most interesting to look at and of course, knit up. The Seed Stitch Blocks; surrounded by horizontal rows of Garter stitch and vertical rows of Stockinette stitch.
When I was a young girl a close friend of mine had a garden that completely filled her backyard. She was raised in the country with wide-open spaces while I grew up in the city. So needless to say, I was amazed at all the plants and beautiful flowers that filled her yard. I remember the rows and rows of thin rope running both horizontally and vertically with the tiny sprouts of plants popping up. Every time I use my Seed Stitch Blocks dishcloth I remember Barb and all the good times we spent in her backyard enjoying Mother Nature.
Materials I used:
Lily/Sugar’n Cream; 100% Cotton. Color: #01740/Hot Pink – 1 skein.
Size US5 (3.75mm) knitting needles.
Gauge:
18sts/4″ in the pattern stitch.
♥To encourage you to go beyond the dishcloth; I’ve included the pattern repeat.♥As are all my knitting patterns; the pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy. I am happy to help. You can always contact me if you have any questions along the way.
