Ribbed Cabled Cowl
The Ribbed Cabled Cowl was designed for my sister Nancy. One winter day my sisters and I were admiring her new coat as she came through the door. It didn’t take long to notice how fabulous that color looked on her. During the course of the evening, Nancy started hinting she would love a matching cowl. She mentioned that all her current cowls and scarfs just didn’t do the coat justice. And she wanted something that really popped! Ladies, you know, like that perfect accessory!

The cowl is worked in the round. There is no seaming, which I think is awesome. A video tutorial is provided demonstrating how to work the increase the pattern calls for; any novice knitter will appreciate that, right? I know I would have. The cowl is also reversible which is great for us dribblers. Just the other day I was at Starbucks and dribbled some coffee down my chin onto my cowl. I took the cowl off, turned it inside out, put it back on and was good to go. Ta da!!

I gotta tell ya…It’s times like this I wonder why I am the only child that was born with, or developed, a love of knitting? Out of nine children, you would think there would maybe be one or two more. Well, I guess that’s a cross I must bear. 😉 As you can guess, one of my favorite things in life is knitting for my family and friends. Every knitter has probably said that one time or another.
