Pink Heart Baby Sweater
Pink Heart Baby Sweater matches Olivia’s newfound treasure; Olivia’s Pink Heart Baby Hat. Since autumn’s approaching and “sweater” weather just around the corner, I thought it time to design one. I wanted to design a sweater for Olivia that was both warm and soft. Oh and, let’s not forget adorable!
The baby sweater is worked up straight and hearts placed using the Fair Isle technique. A knitter informs me she added the hearts using duplicate stitch instead of fair isle. “It was easy and I really like the end result”. I thanked her for sharing and now I am passing it along to you. If you decide to use the duplicate stitch in lieu of the Fair Isle let me know your thoughts.
Materials I used:
Lion Brand Yarn/Superwash Merino Cashmere; 72% Superwash Merino Wool/15% Nylon/13% Cashmere. 87yrds/80m/1.4oz/40g.
Colors: mc #101/Blossom – 3, (4, 4) skeins; cc1 #098/Ivory – 1 skein; cc2 #189/Wine – 1 skein.
Size US7 (4.5mm) knitting needles.
19sts and 26 rows = 4″ (10cm) in St st.
♥In addition to the written word; the pattern includes both the chart and schematic.
♥ As are all my knitting patterns; this pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy.
