Olivia’s White Hat
Olivia’s White Hat was the first baby hat I designed. The story behind this is so cute I just have to share it! I hope you read on…….
My Niece Olivia noticed a picture in a magazine of a little girl wearing a white hat with a big flower on it. She tried to grab the hat off the page and said “Mine”. Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve ever heard? Needless to say, I wasted no time designing this baby hat just for her. I gave her the hat without attaching a flower so she could choose it herself! And it was a perfect pick! The flower barrette is clipped on after the hat is knit which allows her to change the flower with each outfit.
It didn’t take long for her cousin, Cecilia, to notice Olivia’s new hat and want one of her own. You can admire Cecilia in her white hat a bit down the page. I know what you are thinking…”Joanie’s nieces are so cute!”
In honor of my very first baby hat design, Olivia’s White Hat, I have a surprise for those of you who actually read this far down the page. All you need to do is click here → → → HAND IT OVER and let me know you would LOVE to have this pattern for FREE! Now, aren’t you glad you read this story???
With the new knitter in mind, I provided 3 video tutorials to help along the way. When I was a new knitter I very much appreciated the designer’s extra effort.
So, you’re welcome!!:)
