Mod Dishcloth
The Mod Dishcloth Pattern is honestly my favorite stitch pattern to date. Nearly every designer has favorites even though we know all our patterns are fabulous! We just can’t help ourselves 🙂
When I am online searching for my next pattern to knit I always enjoy reading the short stories about why the designer chose that particular pattern.
This is my story about the Mod dishcloth pattern……
As some of you may know, my LOK Facebook group anyway, I was raised in the 60s and 70s. And my ALL time favorite tv show was “Mod Squad” which aired from 1968–1973. The Mod Squad, was the grooviest (is that a word?), show of all time! So in one of my more nostalgic moods, I decided to design and title a dishcloth pattern in their honor.
Oh, and…the reason the title is Mod and not Mod Squad is, sorry to say, because the name is copyrighted.
Materials I used:
Lily/Sugar’n Cream; 100% Cotton. 120Yrds/70.9g. Colors: A- #00001/White, B- 00002/Black.
Needle size: US6(4.25mm).
Gauge:
20sts/4″ in the stitch pattern.
