Lisa’s Pink Dishcloth
Lisa’s Pink Dishcloth Pattern was a design that had its beginnings as a swatch for a cowl I was knitting. I admired the stitch pattern so much while working up the swatch I thought it would look pretty as a dishcloth as well. It’s a simple yet interesting design. I like how the knit and purl stitches play together to create this lovely pattern.

My camera does not flatter shades of red so this photo does not show Lisa’s Pink Dishcloth with the best clarity. I have worked up the pattern in many shades such as yellow, purple, white, and my favorite, green. The stitch pattern looks lovely in all the colors.
The story of Lisa’s Pink Dishcloth Pattern came about through another “Name That Dishcloth” on Facebook. After a day of shopping, I returned home with 14 new skeins of Lily/Sugar’n Cream 100% Cotton yarn. You guessed it; Michaels was having a sale. I shared a photo on Facebook of my new treasures, and then asked my subscribers what their favorite color was? The first person to respond would choose the color for that month’s Kitchen Dishcloth pattern. The winner was Lisa and she chose, insert drum roll here, Pink!
Because there is no end to my “Grooviness” the stitch pattern repeat is included in the pattern. I do that to encourage you to go beyond the basic dishcloth pattern to branch out and use the stitch pattern to design other knitted works of art. When you find yourself diving a bit deeper into the water and need a bit of help don’t hesitate to contact me when you’re using a stitch pattern repeat of any dishcloth I designed. I am more than happy to help you create your next scarf, hat, tea towel, baby blanket or that gorgeous adult size afghan. I know…You love me for that!
