Description
Double Seed Stitch Cowl
The Double Seed Stitch Cowl was originally designed for my sister Ann Marie; however, I ended up giving both the hat and cowl to my Niece Faith. If you would like to read more about how that came to be head on over to “Double Seed Stitch Knit Hat“.
I know what you are thinking…
1. The sizes in the pattern are fabulous but you don’t see the size you really had your heart set on knitting?
2. You prefer thinner, wider, shorter or even longer cowls?
3. Love the double seed stitch cowl but would really prefer a scarf?
4. Have a completely different yarn, with a completely different gauge in mind?
Of course, get gauge and with a tiny bit of math; there’s no need to write a different pattern. When you read “math” did your face go into some weird contorted image? No worries; in this case, getting the gauge you can create any size double seed stitch cowl using any size yarn.

Absolutely, don’t hesitate to drop me a note and I will get you started knitting up the Double Seed Stitch cowl you desire. You can do this. As I have said, I am here to help.
One of my favorite things to do is find an element in the design that I can use to create a “teachable moment”. I spend a lot of time teaching, for example, I not only teach at my LYS but, individuals, groups and everyone’s favorite…Video Tutorials! In this particular pattern, I used the Provisional CO to start the cowl and the Kitchener stitch to finish. Links to both tutorials are in the pattern. To conclude, don’t freak out if you have no clue how to do either one. As has been noted, I am here to help.
