Diagonal Check Dishcloth
The Diagonal Check dishcloth is another one of my favorite pattern stitches to work up. I know you have heard that from me a thousand times, but it remains true! Not only are many of my dishcloth patterns perfect for any newbie knitter but the more advanced knitter as well. I really want knitters to walk into the deeper water and that is why I include the stitch pattern repeat in a high percentage of my dishcloth patterns. Seriously, if you like this pattern and would love to knit up a baby blanket, crib blanket or even…*”A Big Smaller” all you need to do is reach out to me and I will get you going!
The Diagonal Check dishcloth pattern is not only easy to knit up but also very pretty. This particular knitting pattern looks the same on both sides; which is fantastic.
*In conclusion, A Big Smaller is what my Niece Claudia calls her 12″ x 12″ “Baby Blanket” she carries around with her. She was dragging her large afghan around the house and even taking it in the car. She just really loved her afghan and couldn’t be without it. Well, grandma to the rescue – she knitted up an identical, but smaller afghan, and the “Big Smaller” was born.
Let’s not forget, the Diagonal Check Dishcloth looks the same on both sides AND the pattern repeat is included as well.
Materials I used:
Lily/Sugar’n Cream. Color #00010/Yellow – 1 skein.
Size US7 (4.5mm) knitting needles.
18sts/4″ in the stitch pattern. Measures 8″x8″.
♥ As are all my knitting patterns; this pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy.
