Basket Weave Dishcloth
Basket Weave was one of the very first dishcloths I learned to knit. I chose the Basket Weave stitch pattern because it reminded me of one of my absolutely favorite bridal shower gifts, a Longaberger picnic basket I received from my sister. I still treasure it today, 25 years later. My husband and I use it frequently. We live in a three-story home with an awesome rooftop deck. When the weather permits, we pack the basket and spend the evening enjoying food and wine up on the deck.
I digress…A lot…I know! Super sorry about that!
Unquestionably, the Basket Weave stitch pattern is a great choice for a newbie to practice both knit and purl stitches. The stitch pattern has a good balance between the two.
In conclusion, I want to tell you that Basket Weave creates an awesome baby blanket. After you purchase the pattern and would like to knit up a baby blanket using this particular stitch pattern shoot me an email. I will get you started with the cast on you should use depending on the measurement of the blanket you would like to knit. ♦ The stitch pattern repeat is included.
Materials I used:
Lily/Sugar’n Cream. Color – #50128/Sky blue – 1 skein.
Size US6 (4mm) knitting needles.
18sts/4″ in the stitch pattern.
♥ As are all my knitting patterns; this pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy.
I am happy to help. You can always contact me if you have any questions along the way.
