Autumn Striped Hat
As with my Autumn Fingerless Gloves, the Autumn Striped Hat was designed for yours truly. Upon completion of my fingerless gloves, it didn’t take long for me to “really” want a matching hat. Thinking back I remember that my gloves were finished, ends even woven in, and I wore them during the next morning walk…even before blocking! I didn’t just say that!!
Because that particular morning was so very crisp I had to cover my ears with my new gloves to keep them warm. Once home, to my LYS I went! Super excited; the shop had enough yarn to knit up a matching hat. You know the feeling, right? Praying the whole way that there is enough yarn for your next knitting project. In fact, it can be like finding yarn under the Christmas tree.
Surprisingly, I have yet to design a matching scarf or cowl. What do you think? Should I?
Materials I used:
Berroco/Touché; 50% Cotton/50% Rayon. 89 yrds/82m;
or other worsted weight yarn.
A- #7941/Harvest red, B- #7970/Pumpkin, C- #7923/Sage green – 1 skein in each color.
Size US4 (3.5mm) 16″ (40cm) circular needle.
2 size US6 (4.0mm) 16″ (40cm) circular needles.
Stitch Markers: 5.
20sts/4in (10cm) on larger size needles.
♥As are all my knitting patterns; this pattern has been test knit twice and both professionally copy and tech edited for accuracy.
In conclusion, I am happy to help. You can always contact me if you have any questions along the way.
